smoked salmon with beetroot and horseradish We’ve been using a few of the Valley Smoke House’s delectable products for a while now but this is the first time I’ve tried there smoked salmon …. oh my!

I’m not a big fan of the stuff usually as I feel it to be an overpriced over-hyped palate-greaser. The Valley Smoke House smoked salmon however is a different proposition altogether. It is soft, light, delicately smoked and quite simply … utterly delicious.

We’re serving it with on sourdough toast with labneh (homemade middle eastern soft cheese) roast beetroot a few capers and fresh grated horseradish finished with a good squeeze of lemon juice, black pepper and a generous sprinkling of dill leaves.
